Danis Painting Company wanted to improve their online presence as a means of bringing in some extra clients over the slow season. As part of my 360-degree approach to optimizing small business operations with free and low-cost software solutions, I created a comprehensive, scalable plan that could help them pick up some new clients and continue to grow:
- - A consistent logo, description, and linking of their online properties across their website, Facebook page, and Nextdoor profile.
- - A redesign of their website to fix some cosmetic issues and ensure that the website displays properly across different devices, prioritizing mobile.
- - A three-pronged email campaign:
- One campaign targeting previous clients and their associates with a friendly "How are you" email which introduced new premium pricing, resulting in new projects at a much higher profit than before
- A general email introducing Danis Painting's specialties to an extensive email list of nearby realtors and brokers, opening a dialog for new business relationships and introducing the new pricing.
- A series of e-mails to recent and ongoing clients asking for honest reviews of our work on platforms like Google and Nextdoor which has proven to be an invaluable resource for us and many other businesses and clients in the Santa Barbara area.
- - Streamlining of office admin activities, like implementing a voice-to-text solution for writing bids, and switching to a modern payroll provider, resulting in savings of $150/mo on payroll services alone.
CandyVPS - Company Rebranding, Custom Logo & Graphics, and Website Redesign
IO Cloud Solutions was having trouble getting customers in the Philadelphia area. They were fighting an uphill battle with Google and large tech companies. There is no way to compete with massive corporate advertising and SEO budgets for generic words like "Cloud Solutions", "IO", or "VPS". For this reason, I knew the solution for setting them apart would be a one-of-a-kind rebranding, SEO strategy, and website redesign that reflected their friendly customer service, competitive prices, and ability to serve the specific needs of their target demographic, new small businesses and startups in the Philadelphia area. Here's how I redesigned the business's online presence to set them apart from the big guys:
- - A complete rebranding starting with the name: CandyVPS, a far step from the original "IO Cloud Solutions". This provides the company with a memorable theme they could leverage in advertising and SEO strategies, as well as a foundation for a more attractive color scheme, logo, and copywriting strategy.
- - A redesign of their website to reflect their focus on new, innovative small businesses in a hip urban area.
- - A 360-degree aproach to ensure they could capture their growing target demographic with a great first impression:
- A new logo reflecting the new name and color scheme - A wrapped green-and-white peppermint alongside their new name, "CandyVPS".
- Custom graphics for every page of the website, leveraging the rebranding. When customers see that your company stands apart and pays attention to every detail of your design, they are much more likely to trust you after the first impression. When your website, logo, and name are generic, they will not know what makes you unique or trustworthy compared to your competitors.
- A total rewrite of all their copy - the text on a website or advertisement - to reflect their small-business focus and excellence in customer service, SEO-optimized for new business owners in the Philadelphia area.
